Frequently Asked Questions

How current is the hail data?

The map ingests new SPC hail reports every morning. Major hail events typically appear within 24 hours of the storm.

Is the inspection really free?

Yes. We come out, walk your roof, take photos, and give you a written report at no cost. We don't charge for inspections — they're how we meet most of our customers.

What if I'm outside Florida?

We only work in Florida. If you're outside FL, the search will tell you so — give us a call anyway and we may be able to refer you to a contractor we trust.

What does the inspection report include if my home has damage?

Photos of all damage points, measurements (roof area, slopes, damage extent), and a written damage scope plus repair/replacement estimate. You keep the report — if you file a claim with your insurance carrier, you share it with them. The claim itself stays between you and your carrier.

How is hail size measured?

Hail is measured by diameter in inches. The SPC reports range from 0.75" (penny-sized) up to 4"+ (softball). Anything 1" or larger is considered severe and typically causes shingle, tile, or screen damage.

What's the difference between you and an out-of-state storm chaser?

We're an Orlando-based, family-owned, Florida-licensed contractor (CCC#1332902) — in business locally since 2019. Out-of-state crews flood the state after a storm and often disappear before the work is done. We'll be here when the warranty matters.

Florida Statute 489.147 Notice: Filing and pursuing an insurance claim is the responsibility of the homeowner. We do not negotiate with insurance carriers or adjusters, interpret policy terms, or offer rebates, deductible waivers, or anything of value in exchange for performing insurance-claim work. We provide damage inspections, photo documentation, written estimates, and emergency tarp services. If you need claim assistance, consult your insurance carrier or a licensed Florida public adjuster.
